Yes. Seriously. If the speed limit is 70, my cruise is set at 69 or 70 mph, not one mph over. My question is simply, "why speed"? For me, getting somewhere 5 minutes early is not worth the cost of the ticket and the increased cost on my insurance.

Another thing that has always amazed me about following the speed limit, is how many people are so appalled by it and so willing to bash you for it. I can't think of any other law that people are so happy to admit they break and are almost aghast that others don't. What do you gain by me speeding? Ridiculous.

The OP and his girlfriend are breaking the law. They took the risks, now they are suffering the consequences.
