Her main problem isn't her poor play (there are plenty of horrible players) but rather her taking an INSANE amount of time for routine plays OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.
Everyone trashed on her last year for this and she was STILL DOING IT this year apparently. She either doesn't know this is horrible etiquette or simply doesn't care. Also "success" doesn't usually breed hardwork (aka studying/practicing/improving). The worst thing (from a quality of game perspective) that can happen to a horrible player is early success (or more accurately an early run of good luck). This convinces them they are "good" and they won't change their style, either consciously or subconsciously thinking "well it worked before..." Failure/struggling breeds hardwork. If Tiff busts early in the next 20 tourneys she plays that would probably prompt her to begin making fundamental changes to her game. Edit: Does anyone know what day Aaron Kanter is playing? I need to start prepping the serious LOL'AGE stuff for his inevitably hillarious exit. |
