Default Re: Continuing a slowplay through the turn

Why has no one pointed out that he needs to raise the flop, not because he has such a strong hand, but to fold gutshots and other weak draws that will beat him if they come (or force them to call with bad odds)???? Look, it is 5 handed and was raised preflop - the pot is already large, and believe it or not, your hand is vulnurable on the flop. Anyone holding QT, KT, 89, and T8 is getting 14-1 immediate odds if you just call the flop. Or how about someone with a 7, or a smaller pocket pair??? They need about 1-22 but if they get 14 or 15 SB - 1 SB, so they have the implied odds to call. Two pair is not a monster (even top 2) in a large multiway pot - even on a fairly uncoordinated board.

Someone please tell me if I'm wrong about this - I'm a new player and if I'm wrong, I'd like to know why. But this just seems obvious to me.
