Best tournament player of all time

I feel the need to bring a little levelheadedness to this thread. Those of you projecting 2 bracelets a year for Madsen are a little off.

The fact of the matter is that:
1) Madsen did not play all of the events at the start of the WSOP, due to bankroll restrictions.
2) There are still several events left!
3) Variance. I think it's completely possible that, if not for bad luck, he would have won the Pot-Limit Omaha title. If not for variance, he'd likely be a 3-time bracelet winner now!

Add all that up, and I think it's conservative to project Madsen's career at something like 2.5-3 bracelets per year. This could, of course, be amended upwards if the WSOP continues to expand the number of events. Remember - he's a young man and has the stamina to play expertly day after day!
