Default Re: Is a high IQ necessary to be a poker pro

That's actually pretty interesting.

My Dad and sister are both called 'doctor'.
my Dad got his PhD in biochemistry and made an actual scientific discovery that got written about in a few magazines and made him semi-famous in his field.
My sister is a veternarian..and evidently vet-school is roughly as tough as med-school from what I've been told.

Yet my Dad would insist that I'm actually the smartest one in the family (I'm not sure whether I agree or not...it's difficult to say) even though I went the easy route and got my bachelors degree in the not-so-academically-challenging field of Mass Communications and now just struggle and grind my way along playing poker for a living.
