[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Ronaldinho not remotely close. [/ QUOTE ] You dont watch too much football, right? [/ QUOTE ] He has been a great club player for 3-4 years now, with mixed results in internationals. Putting him anywhere near the top 20 all time right now is ridiculous. Check back in about 6-8 years and we will see then. [/ QUOTE ] Fair point. I think he has the potential for the Maradona Pele league. [/ QUOTE ] I donīt, when Maradona was in his prime and had a tough game and his team wasnīt playing well he would get the ball, go past the other team defense (like against England and Belgium in 86) and score. Ronaldinho never did that in this WC, he disappeared, like he kind of disapeared (had 3 good games) when he was Brazilīs hope in 02 (since nobody knew what to expect of Ronaldo coming from a almost carrer ending injury, and Rivaldo was heavily criticized in the Brazilian Team), also, he disapeared in UCL Final. Top Notch Players donīt disappear that much. Ronaldinho is very very good, but i think he is a bit overrated, he has his play easen because Barcelona has a great midfield with Van Bommel, Xavi, Deco and his style is really nice to watch so people talk about him like he is this generation Maradona...He is not in the same league as Zidane, as we could see yesterday very well, too bad he has only 2 more games. |
