OT: Most $$$ you have lost due to power/internet going out

i looked into a dual channel router. its supposed to handled two sources (dsl/cable). wasnt able to get it to work so i just got another router, one for dsl and one for cable. i was able to switch between dsl and cable on the fly (maybe missing only one hand)

also, get one of those battery back ups with plenty of outlets for your necessary stuff: lcd(s), router(s), cpu, modem(s), ...
