He's always been on a team where he has to do very good in order for his team to win. So naturally, when he doesn't do awesome, its very difficult for his team to win, simple as that. Did Elway all of a sudden learn how to not choke, or did his team just get better?

This is laughable. The Colts were 13-0 this year. There was talk of an undefeated season. Their play harkened back to that great Miami Dolphis team. The Colts had the best team in the NFL until they played their first playoff game. Then: ack, ack, ack, Manning chokes. He can't even throw the ball when it counts because the monkey on his back won't let go of his throat.

Personally, I now think Manning is basically done as a pro. This was his best chance and he knows it. He has a few more mediocre seasons in front of him and then he'll join Dan Marino in the studio. It also looks like Eli will follow in Peyton's footsteps.

So I take it you are not of the mind that the Colts play terrible early on, with all aspects of the game showing significant signs of rust (Manning et al. but for god sake try to remember the "et al").

I'm really rethinking the coaching choice to sit all those guys for so long.
But in addition, the Steelers are getting lost in all this, they played a hell of a game (at least in the first half), they deserve alot of the credit
