Presenting... better know a pogger

Well, it's 5:30 AM and I have work tomorrow, but what the hell!

My name's Antony, and I'm an 18 year old who lives in Northern Virginia. Needless to say, I certainly have the typical "Northern Virginian" arrogance that you would instantly realize if you were from this area.

I was never really too interested in sports, although I used to be really good at playing soccer. Nowadays I try to get out to a ballgame if the weather's nice, especially now with the Nationals so close. It's more a social thing than a sports thing, but fun is fun.

Back in high school the biggest thing I participated in would have to be our theater sports program-- we had an improv troupe that would perform shows in the format of the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Because of this (or perhaps the other way around?) I have a quick wit, but it goes without saying that I use this for evil more oftan than for good [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I went to UVa for a semester to major in History or Psychology before being expelled for cheating [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] There's a seperate thread that goes into more detail about that, but suffice to say I made a mistake. I have absolutely no ill feelings towards the school whatsoever, in fact they will probably be some of the happiest memories of my life. I left the school with a heavy heart but also some lifelong friends.

Right now I'm back home in that "putting my life back together" phase. I work as an intern for my County's Historic Preservation division. I'm taking some classes at the local community college to try and bolster my gpa; I plan to reapply to other schools in the fall for the spring semester. We'll see what happens I suppose.

As far as poker goes, from the looks of this thread I'd definitely say I'm more "into it" than a typical Pogger. I started in 2003 when some of my friends introduced me to the game, and I never looked back. My favorite pro is Josh Arieh which probably says a lot about my own personality. I used to play TONS of 2/4 NL but ever since the whole college thing I dont play as often.

As far as drinking goes, I'm a huge fan. One of my best friends from UVa is from Slovakia, so it goes without saying that drinking became a staple of our fun [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] I despise rum, and my favorite drink would have to be Grey Goose + Red Bull. Thanks Josh [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] I smoke cigarettes and weed, although less of the latter since being home and in search of a new "supplier." I absolutely love a good party. That might be one of the biggest things about UVa that I'll miss!

As far as music goes, I'd have to say I'm an indie fan. The band that I'm most into currently is Wolf Parade. Right now my favorite movie would have to be Der Untergang (The Downfall).

My main downfalls would have to be greed and lesbians. I dont know which is more fun though [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
