dont let the kids battle on your behalf. that could reflect very poorly on you.

continue to vehemently lobby on your own. show proof of you past popularity (being requested to speak and whatnot.) show evidence that you "built the physics department on your own." show evidence that your students did very well on the ap tests. tell them that tng taught using resources that you provided (lesson plans, etc) in a useful form.
