**LOST 5/24 Episode SEASON FINALE**

JBB is right on the money. I have been a staunch Lost defender against the haters who say we don't learn anything. However, I feel myself slipping over to the dark side.

Here's what we learned:
1) Desmond not pushing the button on time brought the plane down.
2) Desmond's chick has some knowledge of the island and is looking for it/him.
3) The notebooks from the Pearl are a joke

1) and 3) have been suspected already. IMO for the finale to be satisfying, they needed to tell us what the Others' goal is. As far as overall significance of why the main characters are on the island in the first place, we know nothing more than we knew 2-3 episodes into the whole series.

The episode had many OMG moments, however when all is said and done, it was a lot of flash and very little substance. I'm sad today because I realize my love for the show has peaked. That said, I still love the show and it's going to be a long summer.
