Default Paranoid or Ferris Beulers day off?

I'm sure everyone has seen the parking attendent scene in Ferris Beulers day off.
Anyways my car was broken into last monday, smashed window couple of cd's missing yada yada yada. So I took it to a repair shop by my work, it's a chain of shops and close by so I figured since it was all covered by insurance there was no point in shopping around.
I briefly thought about writting down the milage when I dropped it off but didn't. Repair should have taken 1-2 days, it took 8. The problem was as they said, they couldn't get it to start, it's an rx-8, I've never flooded it but short trips, ie around the shop will do that. After a couple calls to the dealership they finally got it fixed, they said they were going to tow it but a technician helped them ect. Still a long repair.
So I drive it back to work an hour ago, nothing about it is right, I don't remember having 20,000 km on the car I thought I was high 19,xxx no way more than 21,000km, there are 22,500!!! on the car. The clutch feels extremly soft (burnouts) the shift gate is really ruff, the brakes feel soft and worn. The seat was adjusted in every direction, now I can understand forward and back but up and down? Not to mention both the drivers and passengers seat heaters were on. Why would the drivers be on let alone the passengers? I filled the tank the night before the break in and a quarter tank of gas was gone? Have I lost my mind, or is this actually possible, and if it is, it would appear there's absolutely nothing I can do.
