Preliminary research on moving to Vegas

I really fell in love with the city while I was visiting. I don't goto college and work a pretty basic job so I figured I could move to Vegas and get a similair basic job and have the same life there as I do where I live now.

I currently live in Phoenix, AZ. What I was wondering is..how is the job market in Vegas? how about cost of living? I would be looking to rent an apartment so what are the average range of rent for a decent apartment.

I am looking to move there by September of '07. I plan on saving up about 10 to 15k. If I have a tough time finding a job will 10 to 15k cover me for 3-4 months of bills and rent while still looking for a job.
