Default UK Credit Cards charging gambling transactions at cash rate

Hi guys,

I haven't posted here for a while....

I work for for a big credit card company (in the UK) and we (like many in the rest of the industry) are changing from charging deposits to online gambling websites at purchase rate to cash rate. So higher rate of interest and a transaction fee of 2-3%. Pretty horrible.

Obviously any half intelligent person just uses Neteller or a debit card instead.

I just wondered if any of you with connections to some of the poker rooms knew if this was worrying them much. I notice that I got an e-mail from Poker Stars the other day telling me what was happening. So they are obviously are at least aware of it.

Thanks

Tim

P.S. I work for a company that was not listed on the PS e-mail so expect at least one more major issuer to follow suit soon!
