I think the best upgrade path is fort -> stealth -> attack -> attack

Lots of newbies will attack anyone they see, so your fort will gain you $$ when they try.

Stealth will let you scope out targets.

Attack lvl2 lets you smash face.

On another note: it will take forever for me to save up for shoes. .06 at a time? jeez.
