Aren't they supposed to throw out these kinds of cases/arrests, where the accused has crazy evidence he didn't do it?

This is exaclty why DA's should not be elected. Many of them don't give a sh1t about the ordeal, humiliation, and huge expense that innocent defendants have to go through. All they care about is being tough on crime and getting elected.
