Are you willing to propose a middle ground to do that? As in like telling him that if he comes back you will re-exile the whiner but only for a set time like maybe 2 weeks? If he/she can't take that and won't admit he/she made an issue out of nothing when that gender issue has already been discussed in a poll thread last year, then he/she isn't worth kowtowing to at all and should just be allowed to hold his/her breath until he/she turns blue.
