I was just checking out ebaum's world and noticed a rating system on their video's. I didn't really think anything of it at first and then I clicked on the explanation .

eBaum's World being forced to censor content due to regulations set by the IRLB.ORG. “We have to do what have to do… whether we agree or not”, Eric Bauman, CEO eBaum's World Inc. (2006)

Washington D.C. – (March 28, 2006) – The Internet Regulations and Legislation Bureau, better known as the IRLB, is the newest United States governmental agency. The IRLB is in the process of making all free websites follow strict rules and guidelines, similar to those the FCC has set for radio and television.

eBaum’s World, the largest humor website on the Internet, has become one of the first sites to start the transformation into an IRLB approved website. eBaum's World Inc. has decided to move forward due to their extreme size and popularity. All sites must be in compliance no later than June 1, 2006.

If any site is not in compliance they will face a various range of fees and penalties.

This is very concerning to me and even more concerning once I checked out the IRLB web site. I thought this was a joke at first, I had never even heard of this agency until today. I encourage you to check it out.
