Default Re: Was Hachem being unethical?

There are definately a different set of rules in place for TV Tournaments and "regular" Tournaments.

As far as I know in any regular tournament as well as casino cash games you cannot "angle" or "coach" while a hands are in play. It doesn't matter if you are currently in the hand or not, you cannot say anything that is catagorized as "angling" or "coaching."

Angling - The basic definition of angling is saying or doing anything that affects how another player will act.

Coaching - The basic definition of coaching is telling a player what or what not to do.

I think it is rather obvious why these rules are in place for casino tournaments but I think on the flip side, you can see why these rules are "relaxed or waived" a bit when it comes to televisied tournaments or final tables.

I cannot deny what Joe was doing could be catagorized as anglnig or coaching (well less coaching) but whether it is "unethical" is a totally different poker question.
