hulk3 - no, you wouldn't lose anything. you immediately get refunded your bet if it's a 'push' (the final margin is exactly 5).
kissme: -118 means that you are wagering $118 to win $100 more. each site automatically calculates this for you before you place the final-wager. Or you can use a calculator and figure it out. If you bet $236 you win $200. If you bet $354 you win $300. If you bet $472 you win $400. and so on. Here's another example so you can see how it works. If you bet $1100 on PIT via Mansion and bet $472 on MIA via PinnacleSports: If PIT wins: +$1000 on Mansion -$472 on Pinnacle = +$528 If MIA wins: refund on Mansion so $0 there +$400 on Pinnacle = +$400 So this doesn't work out evenly. But lets you have some fun still rooting for PIT...while locking-in a profit in case they lose. |
