It just depends how often you get called. What flops are you going to like if you do get called? You raise 3BB here and flop nothing. Now you're down to 9BB

For me it's a leak because I can pushbot better than I can play postflop poker. FWIW I think the toughest part of SNG's is playing with ~12 BB's and deciding when to transition into Pushbot stage and when to play actual poker

This is enlightening. This may be a major leak of mine. I never really considered it, but far too often I make a "steal" raise with a marginal hand (with a 12bb stack for example) that leaves me with virtually no post-flop options.
