$22: Flush draw + 2nd pair facing allin C/R

Long time reader, buy my first posted hand (except one in BBV). Go easy on me if this one is obvious--and if it is, I hope I made the right decision at the table.

$22. Villain is 24/12.5/1.16. Table has been playing tight since the bubble burst, usually with raises taking pots down PF. (Only 3 flops, 1 turn & 0 rivers in the 25 hands preceeding this one.)

I like your flop bet but would fold to the shove. We have to call off too many of our chips here. Our draw is too weak, as well as our pair in order to call a shove.

i agree with vers, sometimes you may be ahead...but you still got 3k left with 400blinds,id wait for better spots

If we are just bet/folding I wouldn't bet at all. IMO it is much better to crai here, or possibly even better to check/call.

I think the bet fold line is good. I would think 24/12s bet aces pre, and likely lead them on the flop. This could be a naked Kd, maybe even a baby flush, Q9, K9, but folding with 3k and 15bbs is good here

I might be result oriented, but I check behind on this flop now that I have showdown value + a good draw.

First I want to mention, that I check here on the flop and see what happens on the turn....

when I play it your way, I would bet 700-800 on the flop and instacall a shove. Reasons for me would be the following: (Sure I know nothing about your opponents so I have to guess) I dont think you ever put your money in here dead, cause with the higher possible flushes he could have easily pushed preflop, same is for any Aces. Therefore you probably raise. But the more interesting thing for me is that as you are in the money and lose it is not that bad, but if you win, you are in an excellent position to win the whole thing. I mean, if you win the hand you have about 8000, position on the afterwards crippled stack, and you can preassure the second big stack relentless, (perhaps)cause someone arent willing to play back at the big stack when they almost have a lock for second. That means as long as the short stack is alive, you could steal the second biggest stacks blind with any two cards.

I think the c/r by the villain is a good thing - if it leads the hero to fold. Most of the time villain is holding a draw to a better flush, or a higher pair. If the turn brings another diamond and the villain holds a better flush then it is going to cost the Hero dear (whereas if he holds no diamonds then he is not much out of the villain). If the villain holds a higher pair and no diamonds appear, then the hero is going to have a difficult decision to make if the villain makes a big bet on a later street.

The only good situation is if the villain holds a small made flush, in which case if the hero checks behind and peels off a diamond then he might get a decent payoff.
