You're not considering folding are you? I'd just call here, no need to raise imo.

To deep to shove? I´ve been very active at the table >35/30/inf. Villain is a tight reg (18/15/4) who might be getting sick of me. He opens his sb a ton when folded to him. He has made some wierd plays in the past.

[ QUOTE ] Lately I'm just being [censored] by very loose passive 45/15 style opponents sitting on my left. Everytime I raise, they call and call my cbet at the flop. And when I check turn they take it down with a bet, and when I'm getting frustrated and 2-barrel they call. I just get into stretches were I can't win a pot. Obviously all the above goes for when I don't hit a hand, if I do I take it to valuetown against these stations. But most of the time I don't hit and they take it, and it's really anoying. How do you people adjust to having opponents like this to your right? (You can't change seat or anything). Tighten up, stop cbetting with air (and they will steal) or what? It kinda sucks to tighten up because I want to be playing pots with these people but I can't come up with anything better. This really annoys me, help plz. [/ QUOTE ] Well firstly realise that versus a *true* calling station you're essentially playing fit or fold poker. You raise AJ and get called - you hit a pair 1/3 of the time, and if you value bet the crap out of you will win >>>>> 3x you're preflop investment. Also open-limping / min-raising pre works fine too, especially with speculative hands with no aggro players left to act behind you - say you're in the CO with 22 and there's a major donk on the button, who as you said will just not ever fold anything ever in position ever, ever. Also people care much less about small pots so you have more fold equity and generally less shenanigans. [/ QUOTE ] Thx man!, You're definitely right that the value from these opponents comes from hitting a hand and get huge value from it. I guess I have to do something about my need to win every pot I play syndrome. |
