I've had a couple of friends IM me saying how rumors are the Bengals would be willing to give us their first round pick for Vilma straight up. Any one else hear rumors like this, or are people being a-holes?

fwiw, i haven't read anything linking the jets and the bengals...tho i read they may dangle johnson, who the jets don't need...
again, i don't follow college, so i don't know of the talent on the defensive side in next year's draft... that being said, i was against trading vilma to get another impact LB because it semeed pointless to take a step back in development, but man, the bengals' pick could be nice... again, haven't heard anything about this offer though...

I know this might be old news, but looking for info on Vilma/Bengal trade, found this article

We still have that early pick for Chris Long (hopefully), then we have that second first round pick that we could (A) trade for an established GOOD player + later round pick (B) trade down to later in first, and pick up a later draft pick (C) keep and draft another stud But, lets see how the season goes.
