I also seem to remember them being dark enough to come in a brown bottle, but then, I consider "not yellow" dark enough.

FWIW, I work at The Beer Store up here in canuckland. Stella is just a regular overpriced lager. I am also confused about the PU being in a green bottle...OP is not making sense.
I don't mind Beck or DAB, both in green bottles.
