I lived close to West Yellowstone for a dozen yrs so I may be biased. I like Yellowstone the best, though both are worth the trip. From Yellowstone you can run to Jackson Hole and check out the Tetons. If your a fisherman, the Yellowstone area is great.
Both parks are best seen out of the car. |

They both are fantastic, Yellowstone has a more unique, everything in one park feel, Glacier a more "look how insignificant I am" feel.
One caveat to Glacier, some of the ugliest people in the world live in that region. (No, not Ray Zee) |

its really a simple decision. if you plan on seeing the park driving and looking out the window then yellowstone wins hands down. if you are willing to do a bunch of 5 mile or less hikes glacier will blow you away.
i go there about once a week year round. i also used to spend 6 weeks a year around yellowstone for almost twenty years. |
