I can still remember that the Yanks/Red Sox one game playoff in 1978 was in the afternoon, for some reason.

So much better than being a Pirates fan...

Seriously. Enough with the all the "boohoo, maybe not making the playoffs this year has ruined baseball for me forever" [censored]. Try not making the playoffs for 15 [censored] years. Forget playoffs, not even a damn winning season. Try having ownership whose idea of a big move is going out and getting Jeremy Burnitz 6 years past whatever prime he had. How about going to opening day and when they announce your starting CF, your initial reaction is "lol, who?"

Forget October, you have all the other months to be hopeful. Bucs fans have April, until we see the crappy, no potential team our POS management decides to field in hopes of replicating the team from Major League.

Bones,

I apologize for the remark. I wasn't trying to attack a group of fans. The point I was trying to make was more or less what you said, I'm not gonna be pissed if the Mets miss the post season, the journey has been fun. I won't be happy about it but having 162 meaningful games is pretty awesome, and doesn't happen every year. I remember the 03 and 04 seasons for the Mets, just horrible. Hopefully the organizations in Pitt and other places do something and put together a competitive team much like Colorado and Milwaukee did this year.

Back on topic, Let's go Mets. Game 162 tomorrow.

Thank you Howard and Ruiz, the Mets need a break today and hopefully it is coming.
