basement,

I aint cleaning up [censored]. Golf forum and the Lounge? Spotless. My hands are clean.

I do however feel that a common problem that all internet forums have is ignoring quality posters with low post counts. Your posts seem to be pretty solid. Most of us high count posters just spam the forums without conscience and somehow get respect for that. Stupid. If you think you have ideas to help out the forums please contribute, either by post or PM. Your input is welcome.

Yeah, I definitely feel the same way!

Interesting to note that when unknowns with solid knowledge make solid posts in BBV (or a similar forum), they are flamed/ignored/flamed and then ignored, regardless of content. However when same OP posts in, say, the beginner's forum, to an audience of much 'fresher' 2+2ers, the input is much appreciated and contemplated.

Unwarranted superiority complex, it seems. Unfortunate.

Still, I love the forums, one of the most informative around- probably the only one around with a math/probability forum, so... Not going anywhere anytime soon!

LOL, eff you.

basementproject, in the previous and the post after yours, has demonstrated a thoughtfulness that can only be a positive influence on the 2+2 brand.

When people post "classic" links from early last year it's always fun to watch my posts go largely ignored, even tough they were IMO way more thoughtful and creative than anything I've posted in the past year (bear in mind though I have low self-esteem so I may actually be a better poster now). But their lack of "street cred" doomed them to failure.

As an aside, I have a good friend who posts under the handle TomE., who posts in the Lounge, OOT, I think El D and maybe Golf. Smart cat but because he's a noob I can't help but notice that his posts go largely ignored (and by ignored I mean not addressed, maybe people silently enjoy them). I try to view each post outside of the poster's reg date and post count. Sorry if that's too gay/sensitive for you cliquish weirdos.

I didn't read any of that, but I'm guessing it was pretty gay.

BP - part of the problem is the influx of 15-100 post know it alls who get visibly irate when their experienced is questioned. For every one of you there are 100 of them. Thats the downside of having a low post count, its easy to lump the quality newbies with the crappy newbies.

The truth is post count doesn't matter, exposure does. Everyone here has to prove their weight over time, its a forum filled with cynics.

ed,

At least my film career didn't peak when I was 17. In fact you've probably whacked to some of my lesser stuff.
