wow.. tarantino scenes in pulp fiction are awesome.

i really want to like the bruce willis storyline, some parts are great, but the whole bit is weakened by anything involving his gf and also that cab ride with maria villalobos (i think?)

Col. Jessep: You [censored]' people. You have no idea how to defend a nation. All you did was weaken a country today, Kaffee. That's all you did. You put people's lives in danger. Sweet dreams, son.

Kaffee: Don't call me son. I'm a lawyer and an officer in the United States Navy. And you're under arrest, you son of a bitch.

[/ QUOTE ]

omfg, this is the best answer ever. that line was horrific.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe, but a more dim-witted Cruise-esque retort could not have been more appropriate. That line was classic Cruise - I bet the dope even wrote it himself...

Star Wars is only great in a limited sense of the term, but I always found the last scene (the medal ceremony) where R2 starts beeping and everyone turns around for a cheesy laugh to be absolutely execrable.

Some will disagree with this one, but the use of the red jacket in the otherwise B&W (and otherwise excellent) Schindler's List seems ham-fisted to me.

Completely disagree. What did you find hamfisted about it?

I think if you took all the very worst aspects of Daver, diebitter, Clarkmeister, and Blarg, you'd end up with Rushmore.

I always cringe in any movie when a son says: "I love you, Dad!"
I just can't stand this line. Ever. It's so pathetic. And it's borderline when a daughter says it. It's worst when it's used in an every-day situation like bringing the kids to bed and stuff like that. Ugh.

Not Hollywood's fault you hate your dad. Or maybe your kids. Or maybe both!

I do neither. I just hate the line. It's so in-your-face and stating the obvious that it never seems to come naturally and well timed. It's trying to create an intimacy and harmony that big Hollywood movies or a tv series just can't establish in a credible way.

Most child actors suck and any scene involving them can be painful.
