HAHA, you have no idea what you are talking about

You know what an anxiety attack is? It's what you call it when an adult is being a ridiculous little baby.

Waaaaahhhh I'm having trouble with my girlfriend while I sit around smoking in my dorm at some nice private college my folks paid for. Waaaaahhhhh my therapist gives me anti depressants to help me cope with anxiety of my pampered little life, but they don't work!

OMG I'M FREAKING OUT
(not a rickroll)

sorry but you just come off sounding like an idiot who has no idea about chemical imbalances. People who dont have major mental health issues should really just stfu.

p.s. i love your avatar

Here is your solution... Next time you smoke, smoke when you are coming down from rolling. This will eliminate your thoughts of having an anxiety attack or feeling of paranoia. Best time to smoke imo...

yeah seriously OP--if you are buying dimesacks--are you also buying [censored] ass weed? cuz that certainly would not help the anxiety issue.

TheDoubleA, nice story. Ill take your suggestions and look into the problem a little more.

highhustla, I almost always bought quarters and it was always from a reliable friend of mine. Only reason I went and got a dime that night because i was busto, but i had gotten weed from this different guy before and had no problems with it.

I'll prlly smoke some more this weekend or something, see how it goes. Maybe another [censored] trip report for you guys if you can get so lucky.

I got my first one one afternoon at home - it was extremely cold outside, and I drank an entire large coffee in about 5 minutes. I was also very stoned. My mind started racing like crazy and I had all the usual panic attack crap (it really feels [censored] when you're stoned.) After 10 minutes of virtual paralysis I managed to control myself and get to a computer to Google "panic attacks." I was extremely relived to find out I wasn't dying.

You basically condition yourself for the panic attacks and your brain will build them up more and more. The location you're in, circumstances, and chemicals in your body will all be "triggers" for future attacks. They won't throw you right into them, but if you're around them, the chances of having them will increase. Once you've had one, the THOUGHT of having one can trigger them or compound one that's getting started. I only get (got) them when I'm stoned.

If you choose to toke up again, either A) don't think about anything, be comfortable and normal or B) learn about panic attacks and classical conditioning. They can be overcome. You'll have a few of varying degrees (very likely, anyway), but they can go away if you "uncondition" your brain for them. It's good to know that you will never, ever faint during them. It feels like you will, but the whole panic attack is your "fight or flight" response, you're adrenaline is pumping and your body is doing everything it can to survive (it's an evolutionary thing) - you won't faint. Prepare mentally. Smoke less than normal (also consider your tolerance is low because you haven't smoked for a while.) Don't have caffeine.

Um, good luck? I smoked a few times to see if it would go away, it didn't. I took a long break from pot. Then I decided I like to be stoned and think about life now and then, and wanted to get over it. Now I smoke a couple times a month. Don't really get them anymore.
