So i'm trying to get like FIT. Don't need to be huge, just want to have a flat stomach and some muscles.

I've been doing a circuit-training type thing for a few weeks now. It's a 3 day cycle where on day 1 i do 15 min. cardio, then chest, shoulder, triceps, then 15 more minutes of cardio. Day 2, the same start/finish w/cardio and in between i do legs/back/biceps. Day 3 I do at least 45 minutes of cardio. Every other day I do abs after everything.

I've been keeping myself on a pretty strict diet too, plenty of protein. Usually like 2 PowerBars for breakfast. I'm bad at mornings and have to get better. Early lunch is a salad w/chicken - no dressing. Then i'll have like a turkey sandwich w/just a little mustard. Egg whites etc. for dinner and a protein shake (those 2 are over the course of the evening, usually protein shake earlier because i put some fruit in it).

Now I'm reading all this stuff about squats/dead lifts/etc. being the best way for me to lose weight. I'm seeing results from what i'm doing - big time. But like others have said - i might not be taking the most efficient route. Any advice?

I'm going to start doing HIIT. I tried it but didn't follow up with it. It's ok if i do it on something like an exercise bike/eliptical for now right?

And FWIW i'm 6'4" and a little over 240 lbs.

Squats/Deads aren't the best way to lose weight, they're just in the sticky because most people will come here clueless and wonder why their routine of a million tricep extensions and bicep curls isn't making them any bigger. They're complex full body heavy movements that will tax your central nervous system and help you get stronger through your whole body.

I don't know much about the circuit training type routine but it's probably fine as long as it's not all about single joint isolation exercises. I'd sub your 45min of cardio with a HIIT session and yes you can do it on a bike/elliptical. It's pretty much the same protocol, warmup for a couple minutes then go through a 30/30 or 30/20 set (30s of balls out exertion, 20s of very light pace) and go through that for 8-20 minutes; whatever you can handle and then try to increase sets session to session. Cooldown with a couple minutes of light pace.

It is the most sour flavor I have ever dealt with, does anyone have any tricks for injesting this stuff?

Question, is there a noticeable difference between using a belt and putting a plate between yours legs for dips and pull-ups? Back to school so I'm beltless until I buy one. Basically my question is, are your legs shouldering more of the work when you're pressing a weight between your thighs vs. having it hang from a chain?

Might be retarded but maybe not.

If its light enough you can do this great. It should be impossible in <1 year easily though.
