Only question is why? Its not like we had a severe pressing need for another utility infielder. Especially when you consider he's probably going to get released when Utley comes back.

He's a lefthanded bat in case Dobbs starts. We don't want Nunez or Roberson PHing in key spots.

met fan but just wondering, why dont the phils put rollins in the 2 spot? his obp isnt that great for a leadoff hitter, and he has 30hr power. just think hed be better suited driving in runs as oppose to scoring them

When Victorino is back (just saw he retweaked the calf again recently rehabbing ) I have no problem with it. I'd rather Rollins batting 1st and stealing to get into scoring position over the gooch though. I didn't really like him in the 3 spot either

Rollins was hitting #3 for a while, but the Philies didn't really have anything close to a viable leadoff hitter in the absence of Victorino. I hope that when Victorino comes back, Rollins will assume the 3 hole again

Include Burrell at #6 and it's a pretty sick 1-6 too. Just sucks that the lineup goes Switch, Switch, Left, Left, Right, Right that way. Pretty easy for teams to match up their bullpen against this lineup
