Does anybody know if PT actually uses the allocated winnings for its calculations (possibly for rake?).

[/ QUOTE ]

As far as I know it ignores side pots for rake calculations.

Thanks, was just wondering if this might have some strange effects. Eventually I will try to replay some of these messed up hands and see if they make any difference.

i have a lot of respect for you for putting in the time and not charging (yet anyway) for your hard work.

[/ QUOTE ]Seems unlikely he'll try charging later. For one thing, this has become such a moral debate, it'd be a stretch for Juk to say "I've abandonded my faith. Gimme $50."

For another, he already released the source.

yeah i edited that in in case he did decide to charge. i didn't want to go say i had tons of respect for him for doing all this stuff for us and make him feel guilty if he had intentions of charging. he should charge. the fact that he doesn't is very respectable.

(1) Download and install Autohotkey.

(2) Right-click desktop (or whatever location on your disk), choose New > Autohotkey Script.

(3) Right-click file, choose Edit Script.

(4) Paste in whatever script, save and close.

(5) Double-click file to run script.

hi,
great program and thanks for releasing it for free.
I'm having some problems with it missing a lot of hands (~50%), which I think is due to having an old computer (p2-266). cpu usage is continuely at 100%. I've tried messing around with the process priority and delay settings, but haven't been able to get it working much better (tried increasing and decreasing both of these). Do you have any suggestions for improving it, or is my computer just too slow?

Thanks!

And again I praise the fact itīs free. To many is trying to make money of the moneymakers...

People aren't evil or wrong for trying to make money off their work. I worked on PA Hud full time for five months before charging. I regularly put in 40+ hours a week on support and development. There is no way I could've continued working on it if I wasn't making a little money with it.

Yes, the way it works then it is likely to miss hands if system is old or is under strain and altering the delay or the priority wont help if its just running out of cycles. It may be possible to look for memory segments which have a certain 'footprint' (address range, size, read/write access, ...); meaning not all memory is polled continuously, but I haven't looked into this much yet.

I just don't want to spend ages on this, if eventually it gets banned or blocked, but if I get time then I will look into this, as even on my system (1.4GHz/512MB which is fairly old by today's standards) it eats alot of CPU time.

I would try making sure all windows are minimized/off-screen and possibly try to reduce the graphics load as much as possible (possibly try using 16/8bit colour while mining).

If I can think of any other ideas that may help I will post back
