Leftwich easy.

This is super easy, they play Houston on Denver's bye week.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe they can even beat 'em this year.

Sweet thanks! I think the only one i can drop is LenDale White, correct? And should I wait until Byron comes off the waivers since i have the #1 waiver?

[/ QUOTE ]

Leave your roster the way it is now. Lendale could become very valuable if he proves he's not a fat douche, so I wouldn't drop him right away. I think you'll be ok with Cutler, not great, but decent. You don't want to lose your waiver priority picking an undrafted guy. Just wait it out, even if you get screwed and someone picks Byron, there's still a good chance a team will drop someone equal or better since they're insane carrying 3-4 Hopefully QBs will be hitting free agency for you as the bye weeks come around

I also don't think Garcia is a terrible spot start depending on who he matches up with on Cutler's bye. I feel like this is a better option than dumping a more valuable player right now just to lock up Leftwich

Interesting situation I think. I joined my first league
last year. I took the place of someone who dropped out. For this I got royally screwed in last year's draft. Everyone got 3 keeper's but me and I got the "luxury" of picking last besides. Some quick facts:

It is a ten team league. PPR league.
I ended up finishing 3rd/4th last year so picking 6/7th.
4 keepers from each team, 1QB,1RB,1WR/TE,1 IDP

Now, the question: I have Gore and T.Henry as only suitable RB keepers. I am obviously taking Gore. (I'll get back to this in a bit)
At QB, I only have Alex Smith or Tavaris Jackson as viables.
At WR, I only have Chris Henry or Bernard Berriam.
.....and the IDP doesn't matter (Zach Johnson)

There is a guy in my league who has Peyton and Drew Brees and is looking to trade Brees for someone's first round pick this year. (he is keeping Manning so Brees goes back in the draft and he will lose him for nothing, so it would seem a first round pick is way too high of an asking price)
He also has Torry Holt who is going back in the pool.

Because of my ridiculous "initiation fee" last year of getting no keepers and picking late my team was terrible. But through some luck and a ton of trades, I was able to pick up Gore and Henry amongst others and finish either third or fourth in the playoffs somehow. The problem is I gave up my third and fourth round picks in this year's draft in order to make a run at last year's playoffs.

I realize giving up my first round draft pick for Brees is way too much as I could just keep Smith or Tavaris and pick Brees right away with my first pick anyways and also, again I'm already giving up my 3rd/4th rounder so can't give away any more picks obviously. But what about giving up my first round pick in NEXT year's draft for Brees and Holt? This would give me a great starting 3 in keepers in Gore, Brees and Holt. Now I could conceivably draft two of these guys with my first two picks:

Marshawn Lynch
edge
portis
deuce

reggie wayne
thomas jones
cedric benson,

If I was reasonably sure I could get two running backs of this quality, would this be my best strategy?

...also, Would it be worth it to keep Gore, and then as soon as the draft starts , announce I'd take someone's 3rd and 4th round picks for him? Would that be too much to ask? would I be giving up too much?

My plan so far is to keep Gore and trade for Brees and Holt, then draft the two best RB'S on the board with my first two picks and take my lumps in the third and fourth rounds.

thanx for any advice and sorry for the ramble

Thats like 80% tackles, just look for elite linebackers in the 4-3 scheme.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you have some suggestions? Ryans was just taken (was going to take him with my next pick, since he's a lock for 130+ pts)

I think I'm going to take Santonio Holmes with my next pick, unless there's a LB worth selecting.

Here is my latest mock. 10 teams, no PPR rule. No flex spot, just 2 RBs and 3 WRs.

4. Frank Gore
17. Reggie Bush
24. Carson Palmer
37. Anquan Boldin
44. Brandon Jacobs
57. Laveranues Coles
64. Joey Galloway
77. Jason Witten
84. Mark Clayton
97. Bernard Berrian
104. Santonio Holmes
117. Ladell Betts
124. Ronald Curry
137. Brandon Jackson
144. JP Losman

I guess I'd have to drop two of these guys for a kicker and a D.

Warrick Dunn was undrafted.

I like McGahee too; should be good for 1,500 yards.

I really don't like the Palmer pick. In my opinion you are very weak on WRs. Boldin is a bottom tier 1 guy, top tier 2 at best, and Coles is defintitely lower tier 2 at best as well. You really don't have a solid #3 guy at all. Obviously I'm not certain, but you could have probably got some better WRs and then picked up Bulger or something in the 4/5th round if you were really hell bent on getting a QB early
