Default New to HU cash, so lost

We've been going at eachother quite a bit so far, especially since I called his $51 river bet into $72 with A high and beat his air. He's partly afraid to bluff me since he thinks I call any bet with any pair, but he's also fed up and I feel like he could just be betting hard out of frustration.

Full Tilt Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (2 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

Button ($834.85)
Hero ($686)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Button posts a blind of $4.
Hero raises to $12, Button (poster) raises to $36, Hero calls $24.

I've been raising about every button so he has fairly wide range but still probably something decent.
Flop: ($70) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Button bets $58, Hero calls $58??.

Felt like if I raise then he shoves an overpair and folds overs (unless hearts i guess) but I felt like if I hit i could get decently paid off by overpair and felt I could control pot against his overs.

Turn: ($186) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Button bets $130, Hero ...

Crap. Takes away my three 2-pair outs if he has overpair, and feel like he calls with an overpair if i raise or shove. My instinct is that he's fed up and trying to buy it with A-strong, but can I continue?

First off, fold preflop.

Other than that, I think I call the turn and evaluate the river usually, but sometimes you fold.

If he fires a 3rd barrel, then I think you have to fold a blank river.

meh, I usually fold preflop but felt stubborn, esp this deep in position with maybe deceptive hand if it hits. But yeah, if I call turn the plan is to fold to a river bet unimproved, especially since I really doubt he's going to 3 barrell bluff me considering I called him down with A high a few hands ago.

sit out pre flop, there are much much better games @ 2/4 than playing a 5/10 reg, altho I am sure he was happy for the action

here vs my range I'd raise to like 180, shut down if called. I fold weak over pps, and will give you credit for some sort of hand. also prevents tough decisions like you face on the turn.

he has air a lot here. i think you should be thinking about the best way to get it in.

there are advantages to being perceived as a station, but a lot of disadvantages too. One disadvantage is that you don't feel comfortable getting it all in on this flop, which is one of the best you can expect when you start with 6 high. you have top pair and when that's not good you will still win against (and probably really tilt) an overpair 1 in 3 times.

don't call raises heads up if you need to flop two pair to be comfortable. just reraise yourself in that case.

This was you I was playing? Don't really know who plays at what stakes, but enjoyed playing with a 5-10 player.

What do you do with JJ+ if i raise to 180?

Seemed like either air or a 4 considering how much and how quick you bet the river, and probably the former over 30% of the time.

I was multi tabling so I wouldn't put too much thought into time tells.

I could bet a 10 like this w/ how light you were calling down. its looks like air a lot though, however I obviously thought you were really weak, so I was probably figuring you'd fold a missed draw(a good % of your range IMO with the flop call then turn check), and wouldn't bluff raise me.

as for repping hands, I think I could post some where you repped nothing and I called down light and won, or I repped a strong hand, you still called , and lost. I won't, but I wouldn't go posting one of the few hands I played bad. if you really wanted advice then PM me and i might answer
