To me, this is like a proof of God/JHWH/Allah's existence, or when two mega-annoying asshats marry each other. Instead of 4 unhappy people, we have only two. Genius. [/ QUOTE ] lol, so glad this thread got bumped, i may have missed this otherwise. gold. |

Why is she even paying attention to the forum anymore? Also, “As women gain visibility in the blogosphere, they are targets of sexual harassment and threats.” Well, duh, men becomes the targets of sexual harrassment and threats. I mean, this is the Internet; you need thick skin.

My plan in posting a comment was that feminists are going to read it, go to my blog to post hate, but see my food and then want to [censored] me. The only problem is that her vegan readership might kill me.

I have to echo snagglepuss' comments from earlier in this thread. I have no sympathy for Ed. He's witnessed her crazy [censored] for quite some time now*, and still hasn't come to his senses and kicked her to the curb. By continuing to stand behind her and support her financially, he's enabling her craziness.
Other than the business relationship with Mason, I wonder how many other of Ed's relationships that Elaine has ruined? My guess is that he doesn't have too many friends left from before he met Elaine. *The temper tantrum she threw in order to get herself thrown off the airplane would have been enough for a normal human being to want nothing to do with her anymore. She can whine and complain all she wants about us calling her "crazy", but her (self-reported) behaviour on the plane cannot be described anything *but* crazy. |

[/ QUOTE ] Hopey - You pissed off Ed's Mom [ QUOTE ] Hopey– Where do you get off running your mouth on a subject about which you are completely ignorant? “Other than the business relationship with Mason, I wonder how many other of Ed’s relationships that Elaine has ruined? My guess is that he doesn’t have too many friends left from before he met Elaine.” First of all, Elaine did not ruin Edward’s relationship with Mason. Mason ruined Edward’s relationship with Mason. The problems between Elaine and Mason were/are just a small part of the matter. Thus, the answer to your question is zero. Your guess is 100% wrong. In fact, Edward remains close friends with a large number of people from his school and college days. Elaine has had no negative impact on his relationships with his friends of many years standing. For someone who's as politically correct and sensitive to feminist issues, you'd think she'd be a little more aware of using the word violence to describe this thread. Being hit is violence, being raped is violence. A photoshopped picture is not violence, nor is commenting on someone's story that they wrote themselves that shows them acting in a very clearly insane manner. It's all nice to start out with all these stories of these courageous women standing for their beliefs despite violent threats made against them, but it's more than a little disingenuous to connect this with that.

You know, here's my take on things...
1) Ed is, beyond obviously, a huge part of the success of not only this company/website, but a very large number of players who have improved their games and make lots more $$$$ than they could have without his posts and books. 2) For as much as Elaine claims to hate every single 2+2er, she sure does pay a LOT of attention to us. And I love how she basically calls out the entire forum population for a few isolated, sophomoric posts. I can only hope this is some kind of character she puts on, a la The Undertaker in WWE. He's not really a guy obsessed with death and all that, but it puts asses in seats. She puts on this "wound way too tight for living" persona and people start paying attention. I would hope for the sake of not only Ed but for her ongoing mental health that this is the case. It says something about her that she can't just write off all of the people here who sicken her to the very core of her existence. In other words, WE'RE the messed up ones? I think not... |

Hopey - You pissed off Ed's Mom [/ QUOTE ] Awesome. My sole intention for posting the part about Ed was to get mentioned in Elaine's blog. I was feeling left out. Also, after reading LittleOldLady's posts in Elaine's blog, it's become pretty obvious what must have attracted Ed to Elaine. She obviously reminds him of his mom. Ew. |
