Casinos CAN kick you out for any reason. Casinos WILL kick you out if that have 1 inkling that you are capable of playing a positive EV game against them.
In the case of a non-tipper, your action is positive EV for the casino (you are paying rake), but negative EV for the dealers (especially since you are influencing others to not tip). Casinos are fairly evil as institutions. They openly prey on vulnerable members of our society who lack self disciplne. They get these people drunk and pretend to be their friends until they have extracted all available cash. In this case however, I must give them props for doing something that is good for their employees even though it costs the casino money. Generally speaking, casinos try to avoid doing anything that will benefit others and will also cost them money. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] telling the floor will do next to nothing. some matters must be taken into ones own hands. next time they come to deal at your table and you are in the one or ten seat, slide some rusty tacks onto their chair before they sit down. [/ QUOTE ] Now I realize your just trolling. Hi there, I'm a moderator. Continue trolling, and I'll be forced to do the only thing I can to get you to stop trolling. [/ QUOTE ] TT, I think you are confusing "trolling" with "joking". [/ QUOTE ] |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I would have said,"Why are you talking to me like you know me?" Then never tip him again. Unless you have a relationship with the guy, a sarcastic comment like that=NO TIPS EVA, and its not even close. No need to tell the floor. [/ QUOTE ] At the Mirage, you will be asked to leave the poker room if you announce to the table that you don't intend to tip. Tipping is a personal decision, once you share your no tipping policy with the table you might be breaking the rules. As I said earlier, go see the floor. [/ QUOTE ] This is ridiculous... I can't believe it... I mean I can... but it's ridiculous. Luckily I've had good luck with dealers at the Mirage. |

[ QUOTE ]
just tell the floor, don't stiff the dealer on future pots [/ QUOTE ]Why not? That's 100% correct IMO, and expecting to be tipped after an extremely unsatisfactory performance is everything that's wrong with the world. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] just tell the floor [/ QUOTE ] The ONLY correct answer in this thread. [/ QUOTE ] Disagree. The only correct answer in this thread was from snowball: [ QUOTE ] "Dealer. I don't think it's appropriate for you to comment on how anyone plays their own cards. Please don't do that again" [/ QUOTE ] What's with all the over-reactions here? Perhaps in Vegas people are humorless grouches, but this is such a minor thing as to be laughable. Sure, it's possible this was out of the blue and inappropriate, but at a lot of tables the players will make those comments. Or maybe it's a long-time dealer who has a rapport with most of the clientelle. I agree it's not something that should be said until it's established that those involved are friendly to such comments, but it's not like he was commenting on a river bet into a $5k pot, "oh, you definitely have aces full" or something. All of you freaking out to the point of considering this an offense due anything more than, "dude, inappropriate, please don't," really need to back up and reconsider what you feel is worth -EV (emotional value). |

[ QUOTE ]
When a player starts complaining about the way I deal, I playfully warn them, "Look, if you want to keep talking about the way I deal, I'll have to start talking about the way you play." [/ QUOTE ] This is fabulous, and I can think of a few people I'd like to use that on, but in my room, it'd likely cause the players in question to flip out, and I'd be the one written up. Tho' I may do it to some particularly annoying mid stakes players anyway. |

Management is hired to manage the staff, its best to let them do their job. |
