ugh, I'd rather have defoe then Mido. The perfect guy for us would be robbie keane, but Jol seems to have made his decision on the Keane/Defoe debate. What we really need is to pair Rooney up with a in the box kind of scorer, how Ruud was for us. I can't think of anyone off hand that would fully meet that criteria, but I haven't done much searching

Eduardo Da Silva fits that need. Too bad Arsene pwns at scouting and signed him already. ManU should swap Heinze for Crouch.

god no. 1) I don't ever want to see us sell a player to Livershite and 2) I have a serious disdain for crouch. He's a slightly better Emile Heskey

Couch is an animal! He would be a good partner for Rooney IMO.

crouch would be a terrible fit for us.

also lmao at United doing business with pool... not going to happen

he has nowhere near the technical ability required to play on United... we got rid of RVN because we didn't wanna play with a forward who needs constant service... why on earth would we play with Peter Crouch instead...

completely wrong.

Why did RVN leave?
Because he was starting to ride the bench because RVN needs others to create goals for him and we had a 9 (Saha) who can put goals away (although not in a clinical fashion) but can CREATE goals as well... which is why last year we were able to play like this up top... which worked out pretty well

--Ginger Prince--
CR7-----Giggs---
----------Rooney
----Saha-------

with Ron, Roon, Giggs, and Saha shifting positions and creating havoc on the back four of the opposition who had no idea what was going on... organized chaos- total football call it what you will but thats how we played with our First XI on the pitch...

If you throw a Peter Crouch on the team you can see how all that goes out the window and we're all of the sudden playing long balls, or crosses from the wing... and we don't even have any winger who can cross.

Now Nani, Anderson, and Owen H. are perfect signings to play this style for many years to come... Owen will add steel to the midfield and Nani, Anderson, and hopefully Tevez are all supremely skilled offensive talents who can play just about anywhere up top... the LAST THING WE NEED IS A TARGET MAN!

Just found out that Blackburn signed Roque Santa Cruz. Sweet. I wonder if this means McCarthy will be sold? I would guess at least one striker will be.

Atletico de Madrid have apparently signed Reyes for 12 million euros. At the end he was a Real Madrid target so that's pretty interesting.
