i'm a reader, not a writer...I signed up to the forum right after joining the PPA. I'm just trying to focus on what's really at stake. Since you have no interest in hearing other points of view other than your own, I'll just go back to being a reader.

I in no way am defending CEO tour. I just want 100% of PPA's attention to be on the state of online gaming. PROTECT MY RIGHTS ON THE WEB FIRST! Take this argument to the WPA. They've probably got more clout coming off the Series anway

I definitely think they should return all 19% of the prizepool that seems to be missing. If they don't, I'm not sure how they'll survive down the line. They should even eat the 5% to charity and learn from their mistake.

I don't want to sound like a supporter! I just like the structure. I don't have a lot of money, so I like $500 deep stack tournies. I wish there were more...So many casinos just want to collect their fee and get it done asap.

So tell me, do you have any relations or involvement with the members of the CEO Poker Tour?

Just by the by, this is why posting supportive messages from different account names wasn't just a dishonest thing for the CEOPT to do, it was really stupid as well. Because now, any time an unrecognised poster says anything that might be seen to support their position, everyone assumes it's another CEOPT sock puppet.

Very well stated, jalexone. I've been following the thread, and as an internet player myself, since poker is illegal in my state, I feel Stephen/double/fiji are wasting the PPA's time! While they are trying to stick up for what's right (which we all can appreciate), all attention should be focused on getting the online gaming bill overturned. This is affecting millions of players and this is really what the PPA is all about. This sounds more like a matter for Jesse and the WPA.

I believe all PPA dollars should be devoted to the online cause. If they start wasting time and money with the CEO tour, where will it stop? I can think of a number of lousy tournies where there wasn't full disclosure of the payout structure. After playing in some of those events, I chose not to play again. If other players feel the same, then those tournies die.

But if Stephen feels that going after CEO to get 50-70k returned to the Venetian ME players is more important than the strides the PPA is making towards reversing the gaming bill, then he's not representing millions of players' best interests.

On another note, Maria's statement said that they want players in the community to join their "board". If Stephen/doublejoker/fiji feel so strongly about this, why don't they offer to join the organization? I'm sure that if they were on the Board, these problems will never surface again with the CEO tour.

Wow!! I missed that part of the thread. Well I guess if they're multi-accounting, then they're screwed. Hopefully, enough bad publicity will make them give all of the money back.

Guys, be careful not to jump all over new posters. This is one of the few threads that is interesting and thought-provoking. Any new thoughts on this discussion should remain welcome. After all, that's what has made 2+2 so great.
