Move up to the higher stake freerolls where the players will respect your raises.

The reason I raised it so much was because these kids were calling any and every bet that wasnt for half of their chip stack. With QQ I would've preferred it not even go to the flop and just taken blinds and any calls that were in before. Mainly because my pocket pairs never seem to hold up. By raising to 1k I was eliminating the kids that would call 3 and 400 with 89o and then catch 7TJ on the flop.

I play a lot tighter when it comes to playing cash games and any buy-in tournaments. I'll usually raise to 3-3.5x BB with pocket pairs, depending on my position.
