Plz plz plz whatever is holy...allow these ppl to survive to the final table. I would be very thankful. Kthxbye! Lee Childs Lee Watkinson Ray Henson Philip Hilm RaiNKhaN Scotty Nguyen -These few folks are the definite *wants*. Throw in whoever else you want to fill the other empty seats. [/ QUOTE ] Would it be too much to ask for Kalmar to donk off all his chips to Watkinson before the FT? |

[ QUOTE ] I don't know much about tournament poker, but is pushing 44 in early position (at a table with 7 or 8 players) with an M of 7 a marginally good play, a marginally bad play, or a pretty bad play? [/ QUOTE ] Very easy shove. Shove is even more automatic with big antes Shove is even more automatic because they just had a pay jump. Even without the last two factors it is still an easy shove. [/ QUOTE ] Surely you jest. 44 in EP with an M of 7 is a turbo-muck. |

[ QUOTE ]
the amount of cynicism from some of the people in this thread is getting a little unnerving... cant you just say you would have played a hand differently rather than degrade a person in a situation you've probably never been in? [/ QUOTE ] I can say for a positive fact that I would never ever call with KQ from the BB to a button raise all-in and an SB call for my entire stack that is more than a tiny multiple of the BB. It's a really, really bad call. I can also say that there are moments at the end of tournaments where your brain exits your head and races around the table, and your hands do stupid things like push all your chips into the pot in a really bad spot. But this is so bad that I think my brain could figure out to fold from as far away as about the next county. |

"Three-way pot among Lee Watkinson, Steven Garfinkle, and Jon Kalmar. Watkinson opened up for a 400,000 raise and Garfinkle and Kalmar called. The flop was Qd-Jc-5d. Kalmar checked. Watkinson bet 2.4 million. Garfinkle and Kalmar folded." Hmm... 2.4M huh? [/ QUOTE ] This is likely a monster draw type hand like Kd Td, Ad Kd, Ad Td, Td 9d, right? (Asks the guy who doesn't play much no limit.) |

What are you talking about? Not if Kenny is smart enough to not pay him off. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] There's a dead button. Kenny Tran in the cutoff raises to 350,000; Jon Kalmar is in the small blind and calls. Lee Watkinson is in the big blind and folds. [/ QUOTE ] 800,000 in preflop. [ QUOTE ] The flop is {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Kalmar checks. Tran bets 500,000 and Kalmar calls. [/ QUOTE ] 1.3m in and 500k to call. He's getting the right price with the nut flush draw. [ QUOTE ] The turn is the {9-Spades}. Kalmar checks. Tran bets 1,300,000 and Kalmar calls. [/ QUOTE ] 3.1m in and 1.3m to call. Kalmar now has a gutshot to go along with his flush draw. He's around a 3 to 1 underdog here against top set and he's getting 2.5 to 1 to call. If Tran calls anything on the river the call is correct, much less AI. |

[ QUOTE ]
What was the hand? I'm looking for it but evidently I suck. [/ QUOTE ] Folded to Kravchenko on the button who pushed for 1.95M, someone (Kenny Tran?) called in the SB and Kevin Farry or whatever his name is called off his stack in the BB w/ KQs. Kravchenko had TT and Tran had AQ and the TT held for a near-triple up. I just realized that Kravchenko had 2 million and not Farry, so we can't rate Farry's call w/o knowing how short he was, you dig? |

Featured Table: Raymond Rahme Calls Ray Henson's Bluff
Philip Hilm has the button in seat 6, Ray Henson raises from middle position to 340,000, Hilm calls from the button, and Raymond Rahme calls from the small blind. The flop comes {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{7-Spades}, and all three players check. The turn card is the {7-Diamonds}, Rahme checks, Henson bets 600,000, Hilm folds, and Rahme calls. There is now 1.245 million in the pot. The river card is the {9-Hearts}, Henson bets 1 million, and Rahme thinks for about two minutes before he calls. Henson shows {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for six high, and Rahme shows {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for two pair, eights and sevens. Rahme wins the pot worth 3.245 million. After the hand, Scotty Nguyen stands up and bows to Raymond Rahme, as if he (Nguyen) is not worthy of the call that Rahme just made. |
