Default Party lagging my comp, buy more ram?

My computer is running anywhere from 60-100% when I am just 6 tabling Party and running one other site.

I bought my computer last April and it is a 3.00 GHZ Pentium 4, 2.99 GHz, 2.00 GB RAM. I also have 3 video cards in the machine, will I still be able to stuff more RAM in there?

that's odd that it's using that much CPU. i sincerely doubt more RAM will help.

is it partygaming.exe that's using up all the CPU time?

I have PT and PV running as well, but Partygaming is huge. 80k. Using anywhere from 40-50% when I go to processes, PT is usually around 20. System Idle Process floats anywhere from 13-50 as well.

the system idle process is just 100-(sum of all programs running), i think

are you resizing windows? that seems to give a lot of people problems.

I think it's probably pretty safe to say that it's party's problem and not yours. you could possibly alleviate the problem by messing with the page file permissions for party but i have no idea what

nope, no resizing windows. The old Party used up way less memory.

With specs like that your machine should run like a champ. That is very odd. Did a disk defragment make any difference? Its just hard to see that more ram would solve that. Its unreal why it is taking up so much system resources.

Cut down your porn surfing time. My computer is a little better than yours (I only have 2 gcards) and i run Party perfectly. Try doing a scan for malicious spyware and so forth. Back in my CS days, my computer would lag hardcore whenever i even tried to run CS. Did a scan and got rid of everything -BOOM- back to normal speed.

Gotta be Spyware/Adware, or processes that are severely leaking memory (as Firefox is known to do).
