[ QUOTE ] I'm considering offering parallel rooms. One with full names in the hand histories, chat, and seats, and the other with fully anonymized seats and everything. My people don't like it. What do you think? Fred [/ QUOTE ] I think it is a good idea. [/ QUOTE ] Careful what you wish for. I mean, on the surface you guys see it as +EV that no one will have a read on you every time you begin a session, but at what cost? I think as far as contributed rakeback goes, I say one step at a time. Some are leaving now because of the 75%, and changing the rake policy will only make it worse. Get a player base first. Contributed will not affect me nor other players that play very short, but if people keep leaving who's going to be there to want to start some games? |

What do you think? Fred [/ QUOTE ] well I think bad idea cause it would further split the player base. But what you could do without splitting the player base is to give players the option of playing their session under an anonymous temp name (like they all start with "anon" or something) or under their permanent screenname. also with Aces never lose how will that be handled, I guess the real screenname will show up in hand histories. but probably the easiest thing to do is to just let players change their screenname as often as once per week/month or so, and let people datamine to their hearts content. |

I for one am curious to know why all tables wouldn't have full names in the first place. I know this has been discussed ad nauseum, but have never seen an official response from WPX regarding exactly why this is. If it's archived somewhere, please direct me. [/ QUOTE ] If you click on the GM's profile you can search for the first thread he started which explains why he changed the hand histories. Basically, it was to abolish hud use. |

[ QUOTE ] Contributed rakeback is in the pipeline for August. [/ QUOTE ] What does this mean? Can you elaborate? [/ QUOTE ] The contributed vs dealt issue was discussed at length in last month's thread. I hope this doesn't start up again. |

What do you think? Fred [/ QUOTE ] It's an interesting idea. In the anonymous room, would we still be able to see the player's names, or would it be seat1, seat2, etc? |

What do you think? [/ QUOTE ] It would be an interesting test, although splitting your small existing player base seems like a questionable idea. I think there ought to be some way to set the new one up as an "independent" company which could get ePassporte. |

[ QUOTE ] after timing out on a hand, your next hand is "auto-folded" (even if you click "I'm back" immediately) [/ QUOTE ] In the mean time, the fix is to click "I'm Back" then check "sit out next hand" and then uncheck "sit out next hand" before the next hand is dealt. [/ QUOTE ] This may have been fixed already. Last night I was taking a leak when a tourney started and I timed out the first hand UTG. I sat down just in time to see KK and the little button that said "I'm back." I clicked it and played the hand. If UTG had taken a second longer I'd have been screwed. |

What do you think? Fred [/ QUOTE ] This doesn't matter to me at all. Splitting the room seems like a waste of resources. Whether you decide to allow HUDs and datamining or not doesn't matter... just make a decision and stick with it... then focus on what's really important: getting more players and a fish or two! Also, if contributed rake means what I think it means, that will be a 2nd pay cut for me. Not sure if I'll be able to play there anymore as the variance is already mega-high due to a low winrate and tough competition. |

Love the $5k added tourney tonight. I think this is a good promotion that should help draw some people onto the site.
It plays ridiculously fast, though, for a multi-table tournament. So, I'd request that you tone down the rate and size of blind increases to give us a little more play before it's an all-in fest. |
