This kind of felt like one of those season-defining games. It's all downhill from here.

The previous Mets series was the season ender. Pitching 3 rookies in the most important series up to this point. Hopefully they go on another second half tear, or at the very least Howard wins the derby again.

Can they put the game under protest or something? I mean that call was absolutely horrible. He is clearly out, the game is over. What [censored].

No you can only protest if you think the ump botched the rules. Safe/out is a judgement call therefore not protestable.

Also agreed the mets series was the turning point. Although we saw it coming a mile away with Garcia/Lieber going down.

Well, we lead the league in runs, so that's not the problem. I guess it's unreasonable to make excuses about your pitching when three out of your four best arms go down along with another starter? I agree that the Phils aren't very good right now, but how many of these games that we've blown would have turned out differently had we had Myers and Gordon instead of Crapfonseca and Mesuck? Also, your last sentence is laughable.

Hey Cortz,

One of these lines is Howard since returning from injury, one is Dunn.

Can you figure out which is which?

284/387/635 (1.022OPS)
260/351/555 (.906 OPS)

(Hint: The one that is much better... that one is Howard)

Obviously Howard is a much better player than Adam Dunn

I don't know why people respond to Cortz's posts. It's clear he's either an idiot or just posts stupid stuff to get people riled up
