Because I don't like it that much? EDIT: Also, it's not like you guys haven't heard about it. [/ QUOTE ] Well, I didn't realize your list was "albums of the year we haven't heard of". Also, it's fine if you don't like it, obviously, but it's my favorite album of the year so far, and I just don't see how a self-described electronic music fan wouldn't like it. |

heh, well, whatever...I said it was my favorite so far, and I said I didn't like it "that much". I like Someone Great and All My Friends, but as a whole, the record doesn't blow my hair back or anything. I also like the hits on LCD Soundsystem more than I do the ones on Sound of Silver. But, whatever, different strokes...
Also, if you listen to the electronic albums on my list, none of them sound like LCD Soundsystem except for maybe Matthew Dear's release, and that's a stretch. EDIT: Either way, I'll listen to it again and see if I missed something. |

Word. Electronic music isn't my forte by any means, but I thought that album was sooooooo good. I have no idea of its appeal to people who listen to electronic music regularly.

I'd like to give some Jazz a try.. I got Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" cuz it was on just about every amazon Jazz list.. It's very good, especially when multi-tabling for some reason.. anyways, what else are some essentials or albums you like?

I have heard a couple of new tracks from Spoon (The Underdog & Don't Make Me A Target) and they sounded fantastic. Can't wait for July 10th.
