Torres is a very good signing for liverpool IMO even for all that money. I dont watch much of la liga so i am not sure but is he considered to be better than eto? not as good? equal?

Depends on who you ask I think. Most would say not as good. Problem here is that Eto'o having Messi and Ronaldinho around him makes it rather difficult to say. I think Torres is a notch below but not much.

Diego Forlan to Atletico Madrid. Paves the way for the Torres to Liverpool move.

Also looks like benitez is eyeing heinze who i believe would fit in incredibly well at liverpool but it's obviously going to be difficult to prize him away from utd.

that, and the fact that United and Livercrap haven't done business with each other since the 60s

First off, I am pretty happy about the Da Silva signing. 34 goals in 32 games is my kind of style. Plus he is 24 and the amount of money, supposedly 8mill pounds is pretty classy.

This could also signal Wenger re-signing, which would be great.

Fabregas happy at Arsenal, ready to take lead next season

Finally, Pool to become FOOLS for Torres

Marca are reporting that Chelsea have made a 23 million euro offer for Alves. It also says that Sevilla are asking for 25 million and aren't interested in any player swap.

I think it would be bad to take such an offer though getting anybody Chelsea would offload is probably worse than taking vaguely close to what they're worth. If they offered something like 35 or 40 million I could see it. I don't think he is worth that on the market (he probably is worth about 25 million) but that's the point.

I think having Alves, Renato, Puerta, and Adriano being able to relentlessly make runs going forward gives Sevilla a good shot at beating anybody in a Champions League home and home. Alves has multiple times given Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and the top UEFA Cup teams fits. He is a special player and if Sevilla want to make a real effort at the Champions League or the Primera they're going to have to keep guys like him. There are only a few guys I would take over him if there were some sort of draft like you can do on Madden dynasty mode.

Either way they got him for I believe half a million euros so it's going to be a hell of a business move if he ever does go.

Jared, I believe Chelsea are also looking at Flourent Malouda from Lyon.
