Depends on how loose the game is. In Atlantic City, the 1/2 games play pretty loose passive so variance isn't that bad, but it's greater than what it would be at a tight table.

This might be a bit of a noobish question, but was wondering if varience is higher or lower when playing live. Am at the gutshot again today and I was considering playing a bit more £25PL £1-£1 blinds this afternoon, but I only have 3BI (which I won yesterday). I would like to play a bit, but if I loose my 3BI I am not going to cough up any more. The game seemed pretty soft yesterday, is 3x25BB BI enough or would you strongly advise not to do it? Obviously 3BI is mega underrolled online, but is it worth giving it a shot live?

got no advice for you on this one, cause I was shortstacking 1000nl live last Wednesday, frustrated because the waiting list for the other tables were so long

The pots tend to be bigger so variance should be higher

nah im in ghetto london yo. im planning on being at the gutshot more cause im gonna have some time off between jobs.

[/ QUOTE ]

Have to say I miss the gutshot since moving. I must mke a trip especially to go play there again. Any news on the legal case?

[/ QUOTE ]

they lost, but the club is still open. i think you either have to sign some crap or pay a membership fee. afaik its just a small inconvenience - i havent actually been since the ruling was made.

I'm going to london next weekend (girl asked me to come, so I'm like ok), probably won't have time to go to the gutshot, but just incase; is it in central london?

p.s. I'm now going to play 4 hours of 100nl multitabling madness, I'm tired of getting sucked out on 50nl. Wish me luck please.

Yeah, Farringdon

Meh, really wasn't sure here...what do you think? Villain pretty passive which worried me, but didn't feel call/fold were options. 100NL BTW.

At 50NL call flop bet/insta-lead OOP is usually a pretty weak hand, maybe a draw. Play is fine.
