Default Poker Untouchables

Following the shocking deaths of Chris, Nancy and Daniel Benoit (discussed here), I was wondering about this with poker pros.

Chris Benoit, at least up until Monday in the wrestling world, was always pretty much an "untouchable" when it came to criticism. Even if he was put in a dumb angle or had a bad promo or subpar match, fans always forgave him because he was that good in the ring. Only now are people (rightfully) truly turning on him for the atrocity he committed.

What poker pros always seem to be forgiven, either here or in other mainstream areas regardless of what they do/say/how they play/etc.?

One that comes to mind is Barry Greenstein. Chris Ferguson is probably another. Keep in mind I'm not saying "which poker pro is likely to commit double murder", I'm making a comparison. Which pros are almost always forgiven regardless of what they do and say or how they play?

Mods, please move this if it doesn't belong here. I really didn't know where to post this one.

So, you're saying that Barry Greenstein and Chris Ferguson are equally likely to commit double murder? I doubt they're equally likely, but it's close.

Why would Greenstein kill anyone? OP makes no sense.

OP was talking about how Chris Benoit used to be an Untouchable no matter how lame his story line was, because he was an elite wrestler.

The only thing that would bring him down is, murder, a drug addiction: ie: razor ramone, or some slander that you can't escape.

Sorry to lean back to Chris Benoit, but I was at SmackDown that Saturday (Childhood + free tickets from work), and I noticed they had a Chris Benoit shirt. This is pre-murder, barely.

I thought, "Man they have a Chris Benoit shirt, that's awesome, but the only shirt I'm buying is Nature Boy." I almost buckled and bought it because it looked +ev on sweetness. Glad I didn't get it now.

I almost bought the Benoit shirt, just because all the other DX, Edge, and Batista shirts are a Joke much like their wrestling. The oldschool wrestlers are where its at.

Back to topic. Everyone involved with that WPT bs that Negraneau was harping on for a while.

And Negraneau is hit and miss.

ZeeJustin for getting caught.

An untouchable is someone who commands respect. Both on and off their field of expertise. Those who command respect have one trait common to them. They show respect too.To disrespect someone who deserves respect would be a very silly thing to do.

Also I know I'm straying but I don't care.

Has anyone wondered what the affect/effect the Pride fighting rage has and will have on the wrestling community.

Wrestling has been circling the drain for a while but Pride Fighting and such might make wrestling a curtosy flush away from down the drain.

[insert] Knife edge chop to the chest, "Wooo!" and finish with a strut in your humiliated face.

I agree, but I could see him doing a single murder if on enough coke. But a double as the OP suggested is just silly.
