folks,
Am looking for a pair of modern sneakers. will probably hit up the Puma store and the Diesel store here in SF. Any other places I should look aside from the major department stores?

What about good quality polos? I'd prefer something without a logo. Are places like JCrew and Banana still my best bet from a price/quality standpoint?

Thanks

What would you think of the following design on a t-shirt?

LotD,

Kinda nerdy don't you think? I mean, I like the books and all, but still. . .

It' definitely nerdy, though I haven't decided if it's too nerdy. Maybe if the words were smaller and less pronounced.

for the price? no. they are decently made, but they arent any better made than a 50$ fossil watch, its the styling that rules.

I don't know anything about fashion at all. I'd like to start dressing better and with more style. Are there websites, magazines, books, etc. that i could read that would teach me a bit about fashion?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is harder than it sounds. You can discover "fashion" including styles that you think look great, but do they look "you"? Frankly, I think something like this would be money very well spent. You can get advice that can last the rest of your life, regardless of changing styles. I haven't done it, but I might.

If you don't have a tan, go get one. If that's not possible where you live, get it anyway (hint: solarium, fake-tan).

[/ QUOTE ]

See, this is the sort of advice that isn't very personal or lifestyle oriented. It makes people do things that aren't "them". Maybe he wants to avoid the health risks of tanning. Maybe he just doesn't feel like spending the time (outside) or money (inside). Maybe he doesn't feel like the cost and hassle associated with maintaining a fake tan. Maybe the type of girls he's interested in would be more turned on by someone who's genuine than someone who's got a fake tan. Maybe he'd be better off finding clothes that look good with his skin and lifestyle. Maybe, maybe not.

Actually, I want to talk sandal style. I don't really like flip flops, but I also know (think?) that tevas have worn out their welcome in the fashion world, if they ever had one. What are some alternative sandal styles that are still hot?

Look good, look in, can wear like shoes since they have toe protection, and you kind of feel like a Roman warrior walking around in them.
