Default 1010 preflop faces a big reraise..push or fold?

early in the Stars $10 10 minute tourney...big field 2,200 plus...Is my initial rasie okay or do we limp here...no huge reads but as usual at this level play is aggressive and loose...

Out of position here calling that large a bet made no sense so push or fold spot...my problem was at this stage people are making that move with anything from a legit hand to KJ or A 10...Gamble here or wait for a better spot?

i might fold this hand here, so early in the tourney a double up isnt really that big of a deal. granted you want to accumulate as many chips as possible but you can wait for a better spot

I agree, I think you need to let this one go. Tens are by no means a monster, and I think you're a coinflip at best, dominated at worst. In addition, Villain 2 could have been slowplaying a big hand by calling 80, in which case he would likely push with that same hand no matter what you do. I think you need to save 300 chips here and wait for a better spot.

If this is a rebuy or a turbo or an FPP, I'm all-in.

Otherwise, with 78BB, I fold.

This is a turbo with 10min limits. So yes I'm all-in here. To be quite honest IMO you can put KQ, AQ+, AK and any pair down to maybe 88+ here for villian 2. Villian 1's range is so wide and his stack is short enough that I hardly worry about him.

Interesting enough it's the dead money that villian 1 gives us that makes this +ev to shove, I think?

I would limp then fold with all the action behind you. 10 minute levels are by no means turbo, there is still plenty of time for good play. I think you're behind here most of the time as played, easy fold.

Hi,
I would wait for a better spot, if you have no special reads that the reraiser implements the squeeze play. If he did, it is very unusual to do it so early in the tourney. It's barely possibly to know the opponents well enough in this short time period.

The reasons for my "fold2 suggestion are as follows:
<ul type="square">[*]Squeeze play is not probable (see above)[*] Your TT ist not strong enough against a reraise (he probably has AA,KK or QQ), you are likely to be a big underdog [*] There is another villan yet to act. You don't know whether he will stay in the hand. If he does, you are in a multiway pot, which is not preferable with TT.[/list]
Just my five cents,

SunKidDance

Default results and thanks

thanks for all the feedback...I decided to fold it and wait because I thought that I could outplay most of the players and find better spots when the blinds were higher...worked out okay as I ended up 50th of 2200...
